Executive Team
Saskia Rietbroek, CSS
Executive Director
Saskia is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS), a professional membership body for sanctions professionals worldwide. She is a Certified Sanctions Specialist (CSS), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and an industry leader in financial crime topics. Saskia has over 15 years of Sanctions/AML experience in the US, Latin America and Europe. Her global footprint enables Saskia to apply valuable expertise and insight into international training and financial crime compliance projects.
Saskia frequently speaks English, Spanish and Dutch on various financial crime topics.
Saskia earned law degrees from Leiden University (Netherlands) and Universidad La Católica (Lima, Peru) and was admitted to the Lima Bar Association. She also holds an international MBA from Florida International University. She speaks fluent Dutch, English, Spanish, and basic German.
Anna Sayre
Programs Director
Anna is an SME & the Programmes Director for the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS), where for the past 10 years she has led the creation, development, and coordination of its training courses, international conferences, task forces, and chapters.
Before joining the ACSS, Anna spent over a decade working within the financial crime sector in the City of London. Her experience includes six years at the UK financial watchdog – the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) – where she assisted on a variety of high-profile financial crime investigations, as well as private practice in top city law firm – Eversheds-Sutherland – handling ad hoc sanctions advices and compliance audits for multinational clients.
Earlier in her career, Anna gained experience working for the commercial litigation departments for law firms in Paris, London, and New York. Anna speaks Polish fluently and is also well-versed in French.

Alejandra Slatapolsky
Social Media and Events Director
Alejandra is the Social Media and Events Director at ACSS. Alejandra has been with ACSS since its inception and brings 15+ years working in marketing for financial crime associations and other businesses. She spearheads the ACSS communications strategy and conference planning. She is tasked with ensuring ACSS has consistent messaging across various communication efforts and plays a key role in leading the social media marketing stream.
