Salvatore is a globally recognized thought leader in Financial Crimes Compliance. He is a tested banking and government professional with experience in Anti Money Laundering, Office Foreign Assets Control and international sanctions compliance, internal control, consumer banking, securities, trade services & payment operations and e-commerce products. Salvatore has extensive experience in both technical and management aspects of developing and coordinating robust compliance programs, and the remediation of regulatory enforcement actions, MRAs, Consent Orders, and Deferred Prosecution Agreements. Salvatore is considered a Subject matter expert in regulations pertaining to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), U.S.A. Patriot Act, U.S. and International Economic and Trade sanctions, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Salvatore is a frequent speaking for industry groups on AML, Sanctions and Compliance topics. Salvatore is currently employed by Bank of China, as Senior Vice President in the Legal & Compliance Department as Head of Sanctions. In this current role, Salvatore is accountable for the remediation of sanctions related opportunities and is implementing a comprehensive sanctions compliance risk framework for the bank. Previously, he has implemented for major domestic and foreign financial institutions AML and Sanctions compliance related programs and technology efforts. In addition to Private Sector experience, Salvatore worked for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, Office of Foreign Assets Control, as a Senior Compliance Officer. In this capacity, Salvatore was involved with sanctions program implementations, advisory, program compliance, outreach and enforcement. Salvatore also represented the US Government in various interactions with other U.S. agencies, Foreign Governments and Private individuals.

As a C-Suite Executive Assistant with over ten years' experience in the financial services industry, Sue Martin is a dedicated and poised professional with trusted instincts and foresight. Sue has been in a support role handling up to four simultaneous global executives, while also managing a staff of fifty. Sue is team motivator, a seasoned event planner and creative problem solver. Sue Martin joined Safe Banking Systems, an AML specialty company, in their formative years. She remained through their acquisition by Accuity, a risk and compliance leader. Sue has confidently taken on more responsibilities and tasks as they present themselves.An active member of Accuity’s Green Team, Sue Martin is an environmental influencer. She is a featured writer in the company newsletter on behalf of the Green Team initiative, whose goal is to gain quantifiable environmental improvements on both an individual and corporate level.In 2009, Sue was published by The American Management Association on the lesser-known subject of business in the virtual world. It was there that Sue first experienced immersive learning and online meetings. Sue collaborated with IBM, Princeton University and dozens of other establishments and individuals as she wrote the book, “The Unofficial Guide to Building Your Business in the Second Life Virtual World, Marketing and Selling your Product, Services and Brand In-World". Sue presented her book at the New York Public Library, where she held a live online demo to an astonished crowd.Sue is happy to be part of ACSS New York and looks forward to working with sanctions specialists from around the world.

Phillip’s current role is a Senior Vice President within Global Risk Analytics at HSBC Bank responsible for providing oversight over model risk management processes related to Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions along with other operational risks and controls matters. With over 19+ years of experience in the financial industry, Phil has extensive experience in various areas of banking with a focus on remediation of regulatory enforcement actions, matters requiring attention, consent orders, and deferred prosecution agreements related to modeling.Phillip’s background and training is in information technology auditing, financial accounting, model development, and holds a degree with concentrations in accounting, finance, and management information systems.

Guidette Laracuenta Sanchez

Guidette Laracuente currently heads the US sanctions advisory program for the Bank Of China, US operations. She has over 20 years of experience in the banking regulations and compliance world. Guidette has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. She started her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and since then has worked in major US domestic and foreign financial institutions. She has expert knowledge of federal banking regulations with a strong concentration on legal and compliance issues pertaining to financial crimes, including economic sanctions and anti-money laundering. She has served as an advisor to business groups, senior management, and control functions on legal regulatory risk management related to new products, market development  and ongoing business activities.Guidette was born and raised in Puerto Rico and holds a JD from the University of Puerto Rico Law School. In addition, she obtained an MBA degree in finance and accounting from New York University and a Masters of Law (LLM) degree in Corporate Compliance from Fordham University School of Law (2020).Guidette is a Certified Global sanctions Specialist (ACAMS- CGSS), a Certified International Sanctions Compliance Officer (CISCO), a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager and Fraud Specialist (American Bankers Association) and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.She is fully bilingual in Spanish/English and qualified to practice law in New York and as a solicitor in England and Wales.

David B. Chenkin is the managing partner of law firm, and a Certified AntZeichner Ellman & Krause LLPi-Money Laundering Specialist. Chenkin represents major financial institutions and individuals in civil, criminal, regulatory and compliance-related investigations initiated by Congress and federal, state and local prosecutors and regulators. He also provides financial crime training to law enforcement, the private sector and other law firms. Chenkin is the recipient of Homeland Security Investigation’s HSI-New York Citizen’s Legacy Award, which he received for his efforts in counseling HSI agents in building relationships with the financial community.

Todd Maddison

Todd Maddison has been at Rabobank since 2018 and is the New York City-based Sanctions Manager of a 3 analyst team based in St. Louis. Todd’s team conducts the Sanctions and PEP screening and sanctions advisory for Rabobank’s US businesses. Todd has been in the banking and brokerage industries since the early 1990’s. Before Rabobank, Todd has held AML and front office roles at HSBC, UBS, Dreyfus mutual funds and JP Morgan Chase. Todd obtained a Bachelor’s degree in History from the State University of NY at Oneonta, the FINRA Series 6,7,24,63 and 79 licenses, and maintains the CAMS and Certified Sanctions Specialist certifications. Todd lives in Long Island with his wife and teenage son.

Emma Monaghan

20+ years of experience in anti-money laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) advisory services, financial crime investigations and forensic accounting. Focused on a client base of global investment banks, foreign financial institutions, domestic and regional banks and other types of financial institutions. AML responsibilities have spanned multiple client facing and internal roles across the US, Europe and Asia. Emma’s current role is the Deputy Head of Financial Crime at BlackRock, responsible for setting the strategy related to AML, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions and fraud. Emma held previous roles at Citigroup and KPMG in New York and London. Her background and training is in forensic accounting, she has a degree in international accounting and finance and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Joseph Bognanno, III

Prior to launching Oxonia, Joseph served as Global VP of Strategy & Alliances at Accuity, Chief Innovation Officer at Safe Banking Systems and SVP, Head of Global Risk Analytics at HSBC and responsible all FCC solutions deployed in the US. He managed teams engaged in all aspects of model governance in relation to AML analytics, design, development, optimization, model validation and remediation.Previously, he held various positions working with and for some of the world’s leading technology solutions providers and spent several years in the U.S. Treasury as Senior Advisor on Economic Crimes, and U.S. Treasury Attaché in liaison to the South American FATF to provide information technology solutions to combat financial crime through technical assistance programs.Joseph has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry. More than 15 years have been spent within the Compliance industry, working to mitigate money laundering and other financial crime risks through the use of technology specific to AML/FCC initiatives. Aaron Wolfson is a partner in King & Wood Mallesons New York Office. Aaron specializes in advising clients on economic sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, and corruption and export control matters. Aaron represents clients both domestically and internationally. Aaron has extensive public- and private-sector experience. As a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, he led numerous investigations and prosecutions of global financial institutions for violations of U.S. sanctions laws. He also served as a Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, where he was a member of a trial team that prosecuted fraud and price fixing in the municipal bond industry. Mr. Wolfson also held senior positions in a global investment bank’s Anti-Money Laundering and Economic Sanctions programs.Aaron appears before both regulatory and criminal-justice agencies, including OFAC, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and the Securities and Exchange Commission.In 2009, Mr. Wolfson was honored with the “Department of Justice National Asset Forfeiture Award for Outstanding Investigation.” In 2010, he was awarded the Department of Justice Assistant Attorney General’s “Award for Distinguished Service.

Adam Frey

Adam Frey is a managing director at K2 Intelligence in its U.S. Investigations and Disputes practice, and he also works closely with the firm’s Financial Crimes Risk and Compliance practice. Adam helps clients ensure that their anticorruption, international financial sanctions, and BSA/AML compliance programs, policies, and procedures are effective and up to date. Adam also as a key member of several of K2 Intelligence’s independent consultant teams. In that capacity, Adam works at the direction of federal, state, and/or international regulators to monitor and assess global financial institutions’ compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) enforcement actions and related consent orders. Adam previously worked as an associate at an international law firm based in Washington, D.C. Peter served at the US Treasury Department in multiple roles, including as Senior Policy Advisor, advising the President, Treasury Secretary and other principals on sanctions, anti-money laundering and terrorist financing related to Iran, Lebanon and Israel/Palestine. Prior to Treasury, Peter supported US Special Forces in Afghanistan. Following Treasury, Peter held a leadership role at Woori, one of Korea's largest banks, supervising all of its financial crimes compliance in the US and advising the Chief Compliance Officer. He speaks regularly at industry conferences and is an Adjunct Professorial Lecturer at American University.
